European Educational Research Association (EERA)
The Spanish Pedagogy Society (SEP) is a founding member of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and is part of its Executive Committee. Through this affiliation, its members access benefits such as discounts at the annual ECER conference and free access to the European Educational Research Journal (EERJ).
EERA brings together more than 40 educational research associations from Europe and promotes rigorous, interdisciplinary, and socially relevant research through conferences, training, and scientific publications.
Established in 1994—with SEP among its founders—EERA works to strengthen collaboration among researchers, improve communication between institutions, and support educational leaders in Europe with expert knowledge.
The World Education Research Association (WERA) is an international alliance that brings together national, regional, and international associations dedicated to educational research. Its mission is to advance research as a scientific field and promote its impact on educational policies and practices on a global scale.
Established on April 18, 2009, in San Diego, California, WERA promotes worldwide initiatives that transcend the possibilities of action of each association separately. Its members collaborate to develop research capacities, foster interest in educational research, and promote the use of scientific knowledge in education in different international contexts.
The Spanish Pedagogy Society (SEP) has been part of WERA since its establishment as a founding member, contributing to this global space for academic cooperation.
World Education Research Association (WERA)
Transdisciplinary Network for Educational Research -RETINDE-
RETINDE is a network that brings together associations, scientific societies, and educational research groups in Spain to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the social impact of research.
Formally established in 2016, following the XVI National Congress and VII Ibero-American Congress of Pedagogy, it functions as a stable space for cooperation aimed at improving research quality, strengthening the connection with professional practice, and reinforcing the public presence of educational research, also acting as an interlocutor with government administrations.
The Spanish Pedagogy Society (SEP) participated in its promotion and formal establishment, and has been part of RETINDE since its creation.
The Mexican Council for Educational Research (COMIE), established in 1993, is a nonprofit civil association dedicated to promoting educational research under scientific quality standards. With more than three decades of experience, it brings together high-level researchers from higher education institutions and research centers throughout Mexico. Its academic work is organized into 18 thematic areas that articulate the main research lines in the country.
The Spanish Pedagogy Society (SEP) maintains a collaborative relationship with COMIE through a formal agreement that strengthens academic exchange between both institutions. This agreement includes the joint dissemination of research results, as well as mutual support in organizing scientific activities, meetings, and professional exchange spaces aimed at strengthening educational research in both contexts.
